Recent powder coating from Proper Powder Coating Co. in Uintah, Utah (just outside Ogden): trailer frames, railings and gates, off-road bumpers, machined parts, architectural steel, and production runs. Filter by industry or finish. Photos are shown with the customer's permission, or not at all.
Yes. We keep sprayed sample panels for common colors and finishes at the shop, and we can spray a sample of a specific powder on request. For production work, we coat a first article for your approval before running the batch. Photos help, but gloss and texture look different in person, so a physical sample is the better way to choose.
Do you photograph customer parts for the gallery?
Only with permission. Many of our customers make proprietary parts, and some prefer their work not appear online at all. Gallery photos show parts from customers who said yes, or generic examples. If you would like your work featured, or would prefer it never is, tell us and we will note it in your file.
Which finish is best for outdoor steel in Utah?
For outdoor steel in Utah, a satin or texture polyester over a blasted, phosphated surface is the practical default. Texture hides minor imperfections and handles scuffs. Parts that see road salt should get a zinc-rich primer underneath. Architectural steel in full sun benefits from a super-durable polyester, which holds color longer at Utah's elevation and UV levels.
